Sarah Meirose is a second-year MA English candidate at the University of South Dakota, USA, where she specializes in Creative Writing and also serves as president of USD’s Alpha Mu Phi chapter of Sigma Tau Delta, the International English Honors Society. She earned her BA in English in 2016 from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia, where she participated in community poetry readings and had multiple poetic works published by JMU’s premier literary magazine, Gardy Loo!. Sarah’s main areas of interest are early 20th-century British literature, narrative theory, and performance studies. Her one-act play, Sunspots, is a recent recipient of the Wayne S. and Esther M. Knutson English Scholarship and Award for Playwriting; her latest play, A Woman’s Gesture, was recently published in Literature Today. Sarah’s creative thesis-in-process, tentatively titled Dearest: A Dictionary of Accepted Ideas, is a hypertext nonfiction lexicon comprised of twenty-six unbound chapbooks whose order is unfixed.
